What is Omnimovement in CoD BO6: The New Movement System Explained

Ahead of the beta and full release of Treyarch’s sixth Black Ops title later this year, the developer has revealed Omnimovement, a brand new movement system that’s guaranteed to spice up those hectic multiplayer matches, with and more ways for players to outsmart their opposition.

But what exactly is Omnimovement in Black Ops 6 and how does it work? Read on to learn more about Call of Duty’s biggest change since the futuristic Exo suits.

What is Omnimovement in CoD BO6? The new movement system explained

A blog post from Call of Duty itself described Omnimovement as a “holistic approach to redefining what Black Ops 6 movement really means.”

More like this

Instead of being left with the only ability to sprint forward, Treyarch’s new system allows players to sprint, slide and dive in any direction.

Omnimovement gives players plenty of opportunities to move around the map with seamless transitions from a sprint to a dive or spin while prone.

What is smart move in CoD BO6?

The smart move in Black Ops 6 are a set of assists that players can use to adapt the game to their own style.

Inspired by racing games that include automatic shifting and assisted braking, Black Ops 6 Intelligent Movement offers three different options:

  • Sprint assistance
  • Mantle assistance
  • Squat assistance

Enabling smart movement support means players can perform certain actions without having to press a button on the controller or a key on the keyboard.

With fewer buttons to press, the feature will be useful for players with accessibility needs, with fewer inputs required to perform certain actions.

Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement will take some getting used to. Luckily, the Black Ops 6 beta starts on August 30, 2024, so we can start practicing soon.
