JD Vance’s most terrifying promise is in what he didn’t say

On Squawk Box On Tuesday, Becky Quick noted that Vance has “some of the worst poll numbers” and asked Emmer if Vance taking a “prosecutorial” or “lawyer” approach would help the Ohio senator during the debate.

“I think the poll you’re talking about is because people haven’t been introduced to Tim Walz,” Emmer said, before Quick corrected him and noted that he was talking about Vance’s numbers.

“But listen to me. Nobody had Tim Walz on the bingo card and he shows up. All of a sudden, it’s like, “Oh, look at this guy, he’s got all kinds of energy, whatever.” Nobody talks about problems. Again, as people get to know Tim Walz, they don’t like him,” Emmer saidnoting that the debate is Vance’s chance to introduce himself to the American people.
