Channing Tatum Cheers Daughter Evie as a Member of Her Irish Step Dancing ‘Pit Crew’

Channing Tatum Cheers Daughter Evie as a Member of Her Irish Step Dancing ‘Pit Crew’

Channing Tatum was a doting dad on Saturday, September 28, as he cheered on his 11-year-old daughter Everly “Evie” at an Irish dancing competition.

The 44-year-old actor shared photos from St. Los Angeles’ Ambrose Feis on his Instagram page, in which he wears an “Evie’s Pit Crew” T-shirt while proudly standing next to a trophy-bearing Evie.

“There are absolutely no words for how proud I am of this little girl!!! I’m so scared!!!! ,” he wrote, sharing a series of photos.

In one picture, he and Evie kiss her award. In another, he sticks out his tongue while holding her two trophies.

The ups and downs of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan over the years

Tatum even posted some funny photos of Evie after she took out her big piece of hair following the Fall Feis event.

Evie’s mother Jenna Dewanas well as her 3-month-old sister and “newest cheerleader” Rhiannon were also in attendance. Dewan, 43, shared several photos and videos via her Instagram story, writing, “YESSSS EVIEEEEEE!!! So proud of you!! I loved seeing you shine so brightly up there.”

Tatum and Dewan were married for nine years before splitting in 2018. They finalized their divorce this month after six years of negotiations.

Dewan is now engaged to the actor Steve Kazeewith whom he shares Rhiannon and son Callum, 4. Tatum is engaged to the actress Zoë Kravitzwhom she met on the set of her new film Blink twice.

Tatum has previously spoken about Evie’s love of Celtic culture, saying Today host Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager in 2023, “She just loves anything magical—fairies, elves—and when you look on YouTube, all the clips for Irish Celtic music are fairies, so I think that’s how I started it. And then she became obsessed with Celtic music. Now we’re doing Irish Celtic dance, so that’s all I’ve been listening to for the last couple of years.”

The actor also opened up about single fatherhood and how his personal journey with Evie inspired his Sparkella series of children’s books.

“I didn’t plan on being a single dad, that wasn’t in the cards (or) at least in my planning,” he said. Today. “And I was pretty nervous. I said, “It’s a girl.” It was like she was looking up how to braid her hair on YouTube. I didn’t want to be the dad who brought her to school looking like she’d just slept on the street. So yeah, that’s kind of where this series of books came from. It was me figuring out how to talk to a little girl myself.”

Considering Tatum does things like wear themed shirts to Irish dancing events and take Evie to Taylor Swift concerts, we’d say he’s a pretty cool dad.
