Two boys arrested after New Basford e-bike armed robbery

The offenders used a pair of scissors to remove the bikes, which were linked by cable to a display, and threatened staff when challenged, officers said.

The force later released images of two suspects and members of the public came forward with the names of the two boys, who were arrested in the Broxtowe estate area.

Detectives previously arrested two other suspects – a 29-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy – on suspicion of robbery in connection with the investigation.

They remain on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

Sgt Robert Palethorpe: “We had a very good response to the police call and would like to thank the public for their help.

“A number of people have called us to put forward the names of those they believe may be responsible and from the information we have received some new lines of inquiry have emerged.”
