Investigators in the shocking rape and murder case of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital have released crucial CCTV footage showing the suspect, Sanjay Roy, entering the hospital shortly after midnight. The footage, recorded at 1:03am, shows Roy wearing a Bluetooth headset around his neck. These headphones were later discovered at the crime scene, connecting him to the incident.

According to sources, Sanjay Roy confessed to the crime after being confronted with the CCTV evidence during police interrogation. Investigations revealed that before reaching the hospital, Roy had visited two brothels in Kolkata’s red-light district, Sonagachi, on the night of August 8. He drank alcohol and visited brothels before heading to the hospital, where he was seen going in and out of the seminar room where the victim had gone to sleep.
