For its 91st year, Twin City Cat Fanciers attracts cat lovers from St. Paule

A feline frenzy took over St. Paul Rivercentre this weekend – the Twin City Cat Fanciers CFA show is back in town for its 91st year.

With over 160 cats at this year’s show, there were plenty of adorable paw faces to marvel at.

But judges have to consider more than pretty faces when it comes to awarding ribbons.

“So some cats have really long hair, so the judges look at how well groomed they are, is the coat even, what’s the color, does the eye color match?” said Andy Valles, Twin City Cat Fanciers show manager.

“Or for house cats, it’s how friendly they are, they’re well cared for, they’re wonderful, cute cats…” Valles continued. “The judges can decide what they like.”

New this year, the cat show also hosted an agility competition, with judges scoring how quickly each feline could complete an obstacle course.
