A legendary rock band says a member was “burnt all over” in the explosion

Slipknot’s Sid Wilson was burned all over Friday after what he said was an explosion involving a campfire at his farm.

“Hello everyone,” Wilson said in a video posted to his Instagram from his hospital bed. “I had a blast in the front. I’m ok. I’ll be fine, but I’ve got some serious burns on my face and arms.”

Wilson was reportedly taking x-rays while filming the video.

“I’m sung all over the place,” Wilson said. “My eyebrows are spiky. My lips are pursed. My arms are pretty bad. Both my arms. Still cold.”

Wilson didn’t seem comfortable, and understandably so.

“I’m burning around my arms,” he told a nurse as she tried to help him.

“I’ll be fine guys,” he continued. “I don’t care what it takes. See you on tour.”

Slipknot also posted a statement on their X account.

“Our brother Sid Wilson had an accident today and suffered burns on his body,” the post read. “He is recovering with his family and will still be joining us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. Thanks everyone for the well wishes and see you all soon.”

“I’ll say I know better” Wilson said in one of his videos for Loudwire. “So everyone out there, be really safe when messing with fire. (It’s) something I’ve dealt with tons of times. Of course, the one time I guessed and said, “Oh, I’ll be fine…”

But then again, Wilson promised he’d be fine, so it looks like this was just a major scare.
